One of my favourite places to hike and explore is Silver Creek Conservation Area. From beautiful hiking trails, rocks and bridges to cascades and waterfalls. There are easy to advance hiking trails and the Bruce Trail runs through it. The Bruce Trail, at this point, is moderate to advance and it consists of some rough, rocky and hilly terrain. Just a little north of the conservation area is Scotsdale Farm. A generous gift the Bennett family gave to The Ontario Heritage Foundation and to all of us to enjoy and explore. There are marked trails along the property of the farm that also lead to The Bruce Trail.

When hiking in winter be sure to check the weather and dress appropriately. Layers are always a good idea. For icy trails be sure to bring along your Stabilicers.
